Yew Arch at Pen Selwood Retreats

Beneath the ancient yew, shaped by time into a living arch, lies the gateway to your retreat. The yew tree has long been associated with transformation and renewal - its ability to regenerate is a quiet reminder of our own capacity to shed what no longer serves us. As you pass under the arch and through to The Retreat accommodation, take a moment to breathe in deeply and feel the shift from everyday life into this space of stillness and possibility.

Kind Words From Retreat Guests

Testimonials

Discover what other guests say about their time at Pen Selwood Retreats.

“Pen Selwood Retreats is the most wonderful place to escape to. It has a beautiful energy and with its wonderful soft palette of pinks and greens, it’s a nurturing and relaxing space from the moment you walk through the door. With the addition of having Craniosacral Therapy on hand, this really is more than just a place to escape to for a couple of days, this is an experience to relax, explore your creativity, explore the opportunity to rest, explore the opportunity to heal – all of this and more is available to you.

With its beautiful garden, which is backdropped by the stunning Somerset scenery, it really is the most wonderful, calming, relaxing and beautiful space – which I highly recommend everyone should experience more than once in a year.”

“At the end of last summer, we had a chance to stay at Pen Selwood Retreats. It was our first time in Somerset with its small lanes, mysterious trees and shrubs and staying and sleeping in a cottage where it was easy imagining wizards and elves looking at you from between the flowers and plants. They must be as curious about us as we are about them!

The cottage itself is old, built in the mid 19th century, and everything is newly decorated and so cosy, we felt very welcome and at home. Our host is a wonderful Craniosacral Practitioner. The word magical is used too often, but it certainly describes our whole experience to a tee. On a personal note, her father’s armchair is the most wonderful friend I have encountered! We would not hesitate to go again and breathe in the old magic of the land and enjoy the comfort of modern times”.
